Altyn Folk Dance Theatre promotes world folk dances with the purpose of preserving and showcasing folk dance and folklore by offering a challenging, quality dance program and performing in international festivals. Folk Dance is an art that best of all reveals the soul of  people: its passion, character and concepts of beauty. The Altyn Folk Dance Theatre focuses on broadening the training of each student to reflect the dance in its many forms while staying true to its tradition. At Altyns', the emphasis is on physical health, discipline, and the pure enjoyment and appreciation of music and dance.

Altyn Folk Dance Theatre boasts of a repertoire of folklore from Russia, Georgia,Ukraine, Armenia, Belarus, Kazakhstan, Kyrgystan, Moldova, Latvia, Azerbaijan, Uzbekistan, Tajikistan, Estonia, Lithuania, Bashkortostan and Tatarstan.
